Compliance Engineer (RF/EMC)

What you will do

• Ensure new and mass-production hirify.global products meet safety, energy-efficiency, EMC, and RF regulatory requirements for global markets.
• Own compliance testing projects from quotations and hardware/system pre-testing through laboratory scheduling, certification, and test-report completion.
• Develop compliance strategies for market expansion across North America, the EU, the UK, LATAM, and APAC, including new certifications and renewals.
• Coordinate compliance schedules with product programs, track certification status with CM/JDM partners, identify risks, and support mitigation and debugging activities.
• Perform and analyze safety, EMC, and RF certification tests, correlate results across laboratories, and verify compliance against hirify.global specifications.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and technical documentation, including antenna specifications, theory of operation, critical component lists, block diagrams, test reports, and DoCs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, plus 4–5 years of experience as a Compliance Engineer with a broad product-development and technical-regulatory-compliance background.
• Strong presentation, written and oral communication, time-management, project-management, and organizational skills.
• Experience with risk-mitigation management and assessments.
• Experience documenting product compliance requirements from industry safety, EMC, and wireless standards, including EMC design methodologies and safety and RF certification for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth consumer electronics.
• Experience assisting engineering change processes and working with regulatory agencies, JDM/CM partners, and testing laboratories.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Agile, and Arena for tracking and documenting issues and status.
• Willingness to travel and strong collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in product compliance engineering.
• Experience with environmental compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with audiences ranging from engineers to Marketing, with adaptability to collaborative and independent work.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and sharing industry and compliance-technology improvements across the company.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives to embed compliance into product lifecycle management, including partner labs, modular approval, and technical tradeoffs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a high-energy environment.
