Systems Product Engineer (Optical/Network Systems)

What you will do

• Provide first-line technical support to Field Service Engineers through remote tools such as Zoom and Teams.
• Analyze system logs and troubleshoot customer system, network hardware, and configuration issues.
• Create scripts, tools, and procedures to support field implementation and release new guidance.
• Summarize customer and field issues into engineering problem sets for Product Engineering and R&D.
• Review and prioritize field issues based on customer impact and support the evaluation of proposed solutions.
• Provide real-time support aligned with the time zones of supported locations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product implementation and systems product engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience debugging network hardware and configuration issues.
• Experience with high-density optical and network test processes, including hot-swap products with electrical, power, optical, and liquid-cooling backplanes.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with an understanding of manufacturing processes, test flows, and new product introduction.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Linux.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical circuits and systems or boards using ASICs, DDR3/4, USB, I2C, SERDES, Ethernet, optics, PCIe, and board management controllers.
• Linux administration and software development tools, including scripting.
• Understanding of HVAC basics and customer laboratory environment requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and ServiceMax.
• Ability to analyze diverse datasets and identify trends.
