R&D Engineer (Low Voltage Cables)

Location: Emmen factory, the Netherlands

What you will do

• Lead product development projects for low-voltage cables produced in the Netherlands.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other R&D teams to develop and implement new products, processes, materials, and evaluation programs.
• Maintain product certifications, understand relevant industry standards, and act as the technical contact with notifying bodies.
• Identify opportunities to improve product cost and environmental impact, and report project metrics including cost, environmental impact, and implementation progress.
• Lead field-failure investigations, root-cause and risk analyses, and projects addressing production underperformance.
• Represent R&D to factory management, coordinate with local R&D and Operations teams, and lead cross-functional project teams while supporting safety and 6S activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial testing environment; R&D experience is preferred.
• English and Dutch language proficiency required.
• Demonstrated project leadership and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience in wire and cable production and/or sales.
