Failure Analysis Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands; relocation to the Netherlands is supported.

Salary: €3,500–€4,750 gross per month for full-time work, depending on experience and results.

What you will do

• Perform failure and defect analysis on electronic assemblies, PCBAs, and hardware systems.
• Investigate production and test failures using structured root cause analysis methods.
• Troubleshoot electronics issues in manufacturing and test environments and support component- and system-level debugging.
• Analyze defects identified through AOI, ICT/FCT testing, production validation, and quality investigations.
• Validate and optimize inspection programs, test procedures, and test coverage.
• Document technical findings, identify recurring failure patterns, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in electronics or PCBA manufacturing, quality/reliability engineering, manufacturing engineering, or test engineering.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and debugging experience with electronic systems.
• Knowledge of PCB/PCBA inspection and manufacturing processes, technical documentation, schematics, and manufacturing data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent English communication skills and willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with AOI, ICT, functional testing, microscopy, or visual inspection.
• Knowledge of power electronics and analog electronics.
• Experience with APQP, quality methodologies, ISO-regulated environments, verification and validation, data analysis, or process optimization.
