Bodily Injury Claims Handler

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; on-site role with hybrid working consisting of home and office days.

What you will do

• Manage an individual caseload of OIC and MOJ portal claims from instruction through settlement or litigation.
• Handle bodily injury claims outside the portal and liaise with clients, claimants, and third parties.
• Investigate and dispute indemnity, liability, and quantum issues.
• Review medical records and expert reports to value general and special damages.
• Identify and refer fraudulent activity, questionable underwriting, and large-loss indicators.
• Progress cases technically and support a Team Leader.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience handling motor-related bodily injury claims from inception through settlement.
• Familiarity with government-linked personal injury frameworks and portals, including Official Injury Claim and Ministry of Justice claims services.
• Knowledge of the differing jurisdictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
• Technical knowledge of UK motor insurance coverages, bodily injury, the Pre-Action Protocol, and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Deep understanding of indemnity, liability assessment, and quantum.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
• Comfort working in a growing or scale-up business environment.
