Fast Track Specialist NDA File Handler

What you will do

• Handle litigated delegated and non-delegated motor claims for insurer clients and the MIB, with case values ranging from £0 to £150,000.
• Review files, follow client guidelines, formulate case strategy, and prepare strategy reports.
• Draft defences, applications, witness statements, Part 35 Questions, Part 18 Questions, and other legal documents.
• Conduct negotiations with third-party solicitors and liaise with insured parties, insurers, brokers, counsel, and experts.
• Manage court procedures, deadlines, hearings, costs, billing, time recording, and case-management actions.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to paralegals and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and SRA regulations.

Requirements

• At least 18 months of experience handling litigated claims, including Part 7 claims.
• Practical experience managing a caseload of fast-track RTA litigated files and preparing client reports.
• Knowledge of Part 7 litigation, CPR rules, court procedures, and dispute resolution.
• Ability to assess indemnity issues, MIB involvement, insurer status, counterclaims, evidence, and relevant case law.
• Strong legal drafting, research, communication, accuracy, deadline-management, and negotiation skills.
• Professional ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, insurers, brokers, solicitors, counsel, and experts.

Nice to have

• Understanding of indemnity issues and the Motor Insurers’ Bureau.
• Experience with higher-value multi-track claims.
