Senior Financial Analyst (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; full-time hybrid position

What you will do

• Manage budgeting and forecasting across the business in partnership with functional leaders.
• Deliver variance analysis, performance tracking, ROI analysis, and actionable insights for leadership.
• Support Sales, Operations, and Marketing with pipeline forecasting, pricing and margin analysis, and go-to-market decisions.
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks to improve accountability and decision-making.
• Develop automation and streamline financial processes to reduce manual work and improve speed and accuracy.
• Support scenario planning, board and investor reporting, product or market evaluations, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a comparable analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, including building models from scratch and improving existing models.
• Solid accounting fundamentals, including accrual accounting, revenue recognition concepts, and understanding how financials flow through the books.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including working efficiently with large, messy datasets and producing clean outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a SaaS, marketplace, AI, or data-driven business.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
