Senior Backend Software Engineer (MicroApps)

Location: Hybrid in France, based in or able to commute to the Lyon/Tassin-la-Demi-Lune office or Paris office; 2 days at the office and 3 days remote.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable backend features for the MicroApps platform.
• Participate in core architectural decisions and define sustainable technical solutions.
• Build high-performance APIs with web and mobile frontend teams.
• Connect internal platform services with third-party APIs and AI agents, integrating MicroApps with Workflows, Forms, Tasks, Shifts, and other capabilities.
• Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, continuous improvement, service monitoring, and high availability.
• Integrate AI developer tools and structure technical context, documentation, and codebase rules for development, testing, and API design.

Requirements

• At least 5–8 years of hands-on backend software engineering experience.
• Strong background in backend architecture, API design, and database management.
• Solid experience with automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with modern AI coding assistants and LLMs for engineering workflows.
• Ability to format technical context, construct precise prompts, and manage complex context windows for AI tools.
• Ability to critically review, refactor, and secure AI-generated code against security and performance standards.
• Fluent French and English.
• Based in or willing to commute to the Lyon/Tassin-la-Demi-Lune or Paris office for hybrid work.
