Strategy Manager (Telecommunications)

Location: The Speechmark, London, United Kingdom; hybrid, with office attendance expected 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.

What you will do

• Lead strategic projects and workstreams from inception to delivery, defining approaches, managing stakeholders, and driving high-quality outcomes.
• Turn complex and ambiguous business challenges into clear strategic choices and actionable plans.
• Assess market, customer, competitor, technology, and regulatory trends to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging developments.
• Build commercial and financial models using large datasets, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate strategic options.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations that shape business priorities, investment decisions, and growth opportunities.
• Present insight-led narratives to senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and use AI and digital tools to improve research, analysis, modelling, and content development.

Requirements

• Significant experience in corporate strategy, strategy consulting, business development, investment banking, commercial finance, or a similar strategic environment.
• Proven ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems and translate them into practical, actionable recommendations.
• Advanced commercial and financial modelling skills, including building sophisticated models from large datasets and conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify value drivers and turn analysis into strategic insight.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, technology, or a related industry, including understanding how external trends can affect business performance.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting complex topics and recommendations to senior audiences.
• Experience working across functions, building relationships, and influencing stakeholders with different perspectives.
• Curiosity, confidence asking challenging questions, strong analytical, digital, and AI tool proficiency, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems.
