Senior Data Engineer / Technical Product Manager, Data Platform (Databricks)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid model with at least three days a week in the office.

What you will do

• Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for the data platform.
• Partner with engineering leaders and development teams to identify challenges, opportunities, and new platform use cases.
• Expand Databricks adoption beyond traditional analytics and reporting workloads into operational use cases, real-time data products, platform integrations, and new engineering capabilities.
• Identify platform gaps, propose value-generating solutions, and support modernization and migration away from legacy platforms.
• Contribute hands-on to architecture discussions and engineering initiatives.
• Advise engineering and business stakeholders on data platform strategy and architecture, while mentoring Data Platform engineers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data products, and modern platform thinking.
• Experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing investments, and driving product strategy for technical platforms.
• Ability to engage senior engineering stakeholders and influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
• Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives from idea to implementation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge engineering, data, and business domains.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and modern Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience enabling operational and customer-facing use cases from data platforms.
• Experience building ML platforms, feature stores, or AI-enabling data capabilities.
• Previous experience as a Technical Product Manager, Platform Product Manager, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or similar.
