Senior Onboarding Consultant (Carbon & GHG Management)

Location: Munich, Mannheim or Madrid; hybrid workplace with 3 days per week in the office. Onboardings run largely remotely, with travel below 10%.

What you will do

• Run complex customer onboardings end to end, including scoping, configuration, data integration, key-user training, go-live, and documented handover to Customer Success.
• Estimate and manage project effort and budgets, maintain delivery within booked hours, and trigger follow-up sales with Customer Success and Sales when scope overconsumption is expected.
• Create onboarding packages, checklists, and self-service content for standard use cases.
• Review project plans and configurations from junior consultants, coach the team, support difficult customer situations, and provide feedback for the skill matrix.
• Collaborate with the Solution Expert on edge cases, recurring questions, and product gaps.
• Build relationships with customer decision-makers and document stakeholder maps for handover to Customer Success.

Requirements

• Several years of project experience in SaaS implementation or consulting in carbon accounting or sustainability reporting, with full customer responsibility rather than responsibility for only a workstream.
• Practical GHG accounting knowledge, including the GHG Protocol, Scope 1–3, emission factor selection, and distinguishing a defensible footprint from a fast one.
• Familiarity with CSRD and ESRS E1 reporting contexts.
• Solid understanding of data models, interfaces, and configuration; coding is not required.
• Ability to standardise recurring delivery work into packages and maintain clear engagement limits to prevent scope creep.
• Fluent English.
• Availability for travel below 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with CBAM or product carbon footprints.
• Experience integrating ERP, energy, or logistics data.
• German or Spanish language skills.
