Retail Area Manager (EV Charging)

Location: Based in Belgium, with extensive travel across Flanders and Wallonia and travel to Amsterdam at least twice a month; hybrid work in Amsterdam.

hirify.global builds and operates fast-charging stations across Europe, with retail shops and kiosks at charging locations.

What you will do

• Lead retail performance across existing Belgian shops and kiosks and support the opening of new locations through 2027.
• Review location-level P&Ls and POS data, identify commercial opportunities, and agree actions to improve sales and margins.
• Manage operators, partners, franchisees, and tenants through performance reviews, contracts, KPIs, escalations, renewals, and operator transitions.
• Own the retail workstream for new openings, including site briefs, permits, construction coordination, operator onboarding, and opening days.
• Visit sites, audit operational and brand standards, follow up on incidents and technical issues, and coordinate with Field Operations, Engineering, and suppliers.
• Source and qualify potential partners and tenants, contribute to site selection, maintain reporting and pipeline trackers, and coordinate with international Retail, Network Development, Construction, Finance, and Legal teams.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in multi-site retail, convenience, fuel retail, QSR, or food service, including at least three years with area, territory, or regional responsibility.
• Experience owning or managing the P&L of multiple locations and independently reading periodic P&Ls and POS exports.
• Experience identifying commercial opportunities and translating performance data into practical actions.
• Experience managing third-party operators, franchisees, dealers, or tenants through contracts, KPIs, and strong working relationships.
• Experience delivering at least one opening, rebuild, or refurbishment from start to finish, including permits, contractors, utilities, handover, and opening day.
• Fluency in Dutch and English. English is the working language.
• Based in Belgium and able to travel extensively across Flanders and Wallonia.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to the Netherlands at least twice a month.
• Self-directed, hands-on, commercially minded, firm and fair, collaborative, and able to communicate clearly with operators, partners, and senior stakeholders.
