Senior Product Owner (Mainframe)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; other location: Durham, North Carolina, United States.

What you will do

• Drive execution and delivery of features and capabilities for MRI (Mainframe Resource Intelligence), a SaaS product for assessing z/OS mainframe hardware, software stacks, operational health, and capacity utilization.
• Act as the intermediary between market and business requirements and R&D, advocating for the product internally.
• Plan and prioritize product roadmap work, support issues, features, and multiple product backlogs with scrum teams using tools such as Rally and Jira.
• Analyze customer needs, define functional stories, and partner with Architecture and Engineering on new features and capabilities, including potential AI and machine learning applications.
• Remove cross-team roadblocks and manage dependencies to meet quality standards, project deadlines, and business objectives.
• Present product functions to internal and external stakeholders and customers, and measure customer adoption and retention against GTM plans, OKRs, and KPIs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, or enterprise software development.
• Technical knowledge of mainframe software, transformation trends, and related industry insights.
• Technical knowledge of GCP or cloud-based applications, Angular or React UI frameworks, and databases.
• Expertise in managing complex cross-functional, cross-business, and cross-disciplinary projects.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations, plus strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams in collaborative software development environments, defining product backlogs, and prioritizing work.
• Experience managing customer requests, issues, and escalations.
• Leadership, organization, and time-management skills.
