Senior Product Manager (PAN-OS Product Security)

Location: Santa Clara, San Francisco, or San Jose, California, United States; most teams work from the office full time.

Salary: $153,000–$247,500 per year, with potential bonus and restricted stock units.

Cybersecurity company developing protection for digital infrastructure, including PAN-OS, the operating system powering next-generation firewalls across physical, virtual, and cloud-delivered environments.

What you will do

• Own the PAN-OS platform security roadmap across all deployment form factors.
• Define defenses and product security strategies for existing and emerging vulnerabilities, including threats from frontier AI models.
• Embed secure-by-design principles into the product lifecycle with engineering and central security teams.
• Balance rigorous security controls with operational usability and end-user experience.
• Drive alignment on technical product decisions across engineering, security, field organizations, and enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, product security, release management, systems engineering, or another highly technical discipline.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of threat modeling, encryption standards, identity and access management, and role-based access control.
• Direct experience with secure-by-design frameworks, secure development lifecycle practices, and SAST/DAST tooling.
• Deep Linux architecture knowledge, including secure boot, SELinux, and Integrity Measurement Architecture.
• Experience with vulnerability management, severity prioritization, and collaboration with threat researchers.

Nice to have

• Current or prior product management experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of PAN-OS next-generation firewall architectures.
• Familiarity with frontier cybersecurity AI models such as Claude Mythos or OpenAI Codex.
