Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist

Location: San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, Washington D.C., or Australia

Base salary: $124,100–$182,500, $152,000–$223,500, or $184,300–$271,000 USD annually, depending on level, location, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Use quantitative analysis and data presentation to guide business and product decisions.
• Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, dashboards, and executive-facing metrics tracking.
• Analyze customer acquisition, fraud, marketing, supply and demand, marketplace efficiency, user behavior, and new city launches.
• Apply hypothesis testing, regression, cohort, funnel, segmentation, and time-series analyses to validate recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor logging.
• Mentor junior analysts and support structured, data-driven problem solving.

Requirements

• Degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role.
• Experience with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analysis, time-series analysis, and regression models.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL, A/B testing, statistical analysis, experimentation, and regression methods.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab, SAS, or comparable statistical tools, plus an analytics or visualization tool such as Looker or Tableau.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems using a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported approach.
