Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (Aerospace/Defense)

Location: Aston, Pennsylvania, USA — on-site; US citizenship required

Salary: $155,000–$165,000 per year

Aerospace and defense manufacturing business specializing in emergency arresting systems for military aircraft, with facilities in the USA and France.

What you will do

• Advise the General Manager, Controller, and executive leadership on financial strategy, bid reviews, program risks, and business decisions.
• Own monthly forecasting, annual operating plans, budgets, and long-range financial planning.
• Lead financial modeling, scenario analysis, strategic initiatives, M&A evaluation, and major pursuit analysis.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costs, cost roll-ups, variance analysis, inventory valuation, reserves, and inventory turns.
• Prepare executive financial reports and explain manufacturing and program performance drivers.
• Build and develop the FP&A and cost accounting team while improving processes and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive FP&A and/or cost accounting experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience required.
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, GAAP, and cost accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, including Syteline; Power BI preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen and work on-site in Aston, Pennsylvania.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or Certified Cost Accountant credential.
• Government contracting or aerospace and defense experience.
• Power BI experience.
