TL;DR
Senior Java Developer (Semiconductor): Building the core Java backend platform that orchestrates scanning, sequencing, and execution workflows for metrology and inspection systems with an accent on software architecture, performance, synchronization, and reliability. Focus on designing scalable system components, solving complex multidisciplinary challenges, and collaborating with software, algorithms, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
Location: Rehovot, Israel; onsite role. Travel required up to 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

What you will do
- Design and develop high-performance Java backend software for mission-critical system workflows.
- Build and maintain the platform orchestrating scanning, sequencing, and execution flows.
- Own key architectural components and contribute to technical direction and design decisions.
- Collaborate with algorithm, hardware, system, software, and product engineering teams.
- Investigate complex performance, synchronization, reliability, and system-level challenges.
- Help evolve the platform for future semiconductor product lines.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
- Experience designing complex backend or system-level software.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, concurrency, and performance optimization.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, primarily Java or C#, and Linux-based environments.
- Expertise with agentic coding LLM tooling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of React and TypeScript.
- Experience in semiconductors, hardware-integrated systems, algorithms, or real-time environments.
