CBI Electrical Engineer

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America. Onsite work across an industrial plant floor, R&D lab, and office; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with some flexibility. Local travel up to 25%.

Base salary: $101,200–$151,800 per year.

What you will do

• Develop new commercial cooking products, including electrical and electromechanical devices and systems.
• Pioneer advanced cooking technologies, controls, and heating systems.
• Design wire harnesses, select and validate components, and troubleshoot new and existing product lines.
• Design, set up, program, and validate prototypes and PLC-controlled laboratory test setups.
• Coordinate development with internal teams, suppliers, and external software vendors to meet timeline and cost objectives.
• Manage electrical testing procedures, compliance activities, documentation, and project progress reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years of work experience.
• English required.
• Experience with schematic design, wiring diagrams, and mechanical design practices.
• Experience designing control and power supply circuits for foodservice, commercial, industrial, or similar equipment.
• Experience designing and validating prototypes, conducting data acquisition, and supporting laboratory testing.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, manage projects, and build relationships with customers and suppliers.

Nice to have

• Software programming experience and the ability to create and maintain software specifications.
• Experience with PLC programming and compliance standards such as UL and Energy Star.
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial product-development environment.
