Product Manager, Network Rules & Governance (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States; other location: Warren Township, NJ, United States. The role is onsite and based in the United States.

Salary: $165,000–$195,000 per year, adjusted based on experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own the Altic rulebook, technical specification, and participant agreement as integrated products.
• Define the mapping between legal obligations, network rules, and enforceable system behavior.
• Formalize governance processes and establish the committee structure for proposing, assessing, approving, and publishing rule changes.
• Assess the impact of changes, manage waivers and exceptions, and maintain defensible decision records.
• Present and teach the rules to GPs, wealth managers, service providers, counsel, and other network participants.
• Prototype change-management tooling and use AI for impact analysis, drafting, consistency checks, and participant-feedback synthesis.

Requirements

• Experience owning a rulebook, scheme rules, market-practice guidance, technical standard, or equivalent through external change cycles.
• Understanding of governance involving committees, decision papers, records, and external stakeholders; payments, clearing, settlement, or messaging-network experience is relevant.
• Ability to interpret fund documents, participant agreements, and legal advice and translate them into buildable technical requirements.
• Knowledge of private-markets transaction lifecycles, including subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and post-trade servicing.
• Strong precision in writing, stakeholder influence, participant adoption, and presentation skills for working groups and events.
• Hands-on interest in AI, no-code, and low-code tools, with a preference for building working prototypes.

Nice to have

• Experience with transfer agents, fund administrators, custodians, GPs, wealth platforms, managed accounts, or alternatives products and operations.
• Legal experience in financial markets, private markets, or funds.
• Legal-tech experience or knowledge of firms such as iCapital or CAIS.
