Field Instructor (UAS)

Location: Remote, based in the United States, with 50% travel across the U.S. and abroad

Salary: $67,500–$94,500 USD annual base salary, plus potential equity

What you will do

• Lead Mobile Training Teams and serve as the primary customer-facing instructor for field training operations.
• Deliver classroom, hands-on, and live flight instruction using standardized curriculum.
• Coach students through UAS operation, troubleshooting, and mission-specific exercises.
• Manage training logistics, including scheduling, site setup, equipment preparation, and customer coordination.
• Assess student performance, maintain training records, and submit reports and after-action feedback.
• Collaborate with Mission Success and other teams to improve curriculum, product capabilities, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• Prior military experience or experience working with military organizations is strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring adults in technical or tactical environments is strongly preferred.
• Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required, or certification must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Familiarity with FPV systems and UAS operations, including air and ground components.
• Strong communication, facilitation, classroom leadership, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead groups in classroom and field settings, maintain composure in austere conditions, and travel extensively.

Nice to have

• Experience using flight simulators in training programs.
• Working knowledge and experience with ATAK.
