F-35/5th Generation Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Aerospace)

Location: Halifax, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement from anywhere in Canada. Occasional travel within Canada, including Ottawa and Cold Lake, and limited international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Provide F-35 and fifth-generation fighter operational expertise for the design and development of classroom, simulator, and flying curricula.
• Review and validate courseware, training devices, policies, procedures, and instructional standards against RCAF objectives.
• Support acceptance testing, validation and verification activities, and identification of training risks.
• Advise on integrating F-35 operational concepts into the Future Fighter Lead-In Training ecosystem.
• Support concepts of operations, training-centre procedures, operational policies, and Ground-Based Training Systems development.
• Collaborate with hirify.global teams, RCAF stakeholders, training developers, and program leadership to deliver key milestones.

Requirements

• Operational experience as an F-35 or other fifth-generation fighter pilot and instructor pilot within the RCAF or a comparable military organization.
• 10–15 years of military flight operations experience and 10+ years of leadership or instructional experience.
• Experience with simulator-based and synthetic training environments.
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional systems design, or military training program management.
• Relevant postsecondary education and strong collaboration and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Level II Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Former F-35 instructor pilot or instructor pilot on another fifth-generation platform.
• Experience in RCAF fighter training and training-development organizations.
• M-346, FLIT, advanced jet training, simulator, training-device, or GBTS development experience.
• Experience developing operational policies and procedures.
• Bilingual English and French language skills.
