Head of Reverse Logistics (IoT Hardware)

Location: Boston, MA, United States; office-based or hybrid options available. The role leads refurbishment operations in Boston and Kosovo and requires willingness to travel.

Base salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year.

What you will do

• Run and scale in-house refurbishment operations in Boston and Kosovo, including capacity planning and the Boston expansion.
• Own throughput, yield, turnaround time, cost per unit, inventory accuracy, repair quality, and refurbishment reporting.
• Build the future-state refurbishment network and establish external repair and refurbishment partners.
• Define partner KPIs and SLAs, manage QBRs, and hold partners accountable for quality, yield, and cost.
• Own returns receiving, consolidation across the 3PL network, the end-to-end RMA process, MRB activities, rework, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Partner with Sustaining Engineering on failure analysis and correchirify.global action, support alpha and beta programs, and manage end-of-life disposal and recycling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in reverse logistics, refurbishment, repair, or manufacturing operations.
• 5+ years leading teams across multiple sites, including hands-on operational leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience scaling high-volume returns or refurbishment operations, clearing operational constraints, and managing external repair partners.
• Experience with partner KPIs, SLAs, QBRs, MRB, nonconformance, disposition, RMA or warranty processes, and Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent lean manufacturing practices.
• Experience with electronics or battery-powered hardware, lithium battery and Dangerous Goods regulations, e-waste and WEEE requirements, engineering collaboration, ERP systems, and NetSuite.
