People Operations Specialist (HRIS)

Location: Remote

Compensation: Minimum starting compensation of $70,000 annually, inclusive of base and bonus; adjusted based on experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Provide first-line support for employee and manager questions about policies, benefits, HR systems, and employee lifecycle changes.
• Maintain accurate Paycor HRIS data, including new hires, offboarding, and employee status changes.
• Coordinate with Payroll on hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, leaves, and other changes.
• Manage parental leave processes and support employees with paid leave and FMLA requirements.
• Coordinate annual benefits and open enrollment, including communications, rate uploads, and broker collaboration.
• Run onboarding, orientation, culture programming, and remote team-building initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or an HR Generalist role.
• Experience with at least several of the following: employee support, HRIS, benefits, or compliance.
• Ability to learn and work in an HRIS platform; Paycor experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, empathy, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Experience supporting a remote or distributed team.
• Familiarity with I-9s, leave administration, FMLA, and federal, state, and local compliance documentation.
