Lending Specialist-Sales (Consumer Loan Officer)

Location: Hybrid role based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; office location: 11550 Ent Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $22–$25.50 per hour, plus monthly incentives and a 3% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Originate direct consumer loans, including auto, personal, unsecured, home equity, and HELOC products.
• Interview applicants about financial history and goals, submit applications, and guide members through the lending process.
• Facilitate loan closings and funding through branch, lending center, web, video, and other delivery channels.
• Develop internal and external business, manage accounts, retain members, and support loan production and income goals.
• Track reporting and performance trends to improve service, productivity, and service-level agreement results.
• Provide financial counseling, communicate loan denial decisions, and follow Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial services institution.
• At least 6 months of consumer loan origination experience with a bank, credit union, consumer finance company, or lender.
• Knowledge of credit reporting and scoring, personal finance, and consumer lending regulations.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute, 10-key proficiency, and experience with Microsoft Office and lending software.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of experience as an Wings MSR-LC.
• Experience with auto buying and real estate lending.
