Outside Loan Originator (Mortgage)

What you will do

• Source mortgage leads and build referral relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources.
• Analyze local loan markets, develop referral networks, and market mortgage products and services.
• Meet with applicants, gather complete loan applications and documentation, and explain available loan and credit options.
• Evaluate applicants’ financial status, credit, and property information to assess loan feasibility.
• Coordinate with processing and underwriting to resolve application issues and maintain communication with referral sources.
• Participate in mortgage sales activities, including closings, open houses, seminars, and other lead-generating events.

Requirements

• NMLS license required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
• Knowledge of retail mortgage products, policies, underwriting, procedures, documentation, and systems.
• Experience proactively soliciting new business and developing referral networks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with Encompass.
