Actuary, Pricing - Individual MA (Medicare Advantage)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required. Work schedule must accommodate Eastern Time Zone (EST).

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop and execute pricing strategies for Medicare Advantage products, establishing pricing assumptions and preparing and submitting bids.
• Support regulatory rate filings and certifications, including attesting to compliance with state and federal rating and benefit regulations.
• Implement rates, new plans, and benefit changes, and advise Product Development on the cost impact of products and benefits.
• Develop and maintain tools for pricing standard and customized offerings.
• Establish market-level financial metrics, analyze results and projections, identify root causes, and recommend pricing actions aligned with segment profitability goals.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, collaborate with market partners, and advise executives on significant functional strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• FSA or ASA, plus a relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• MAAA.
• Ability to articulate ideas effectively in written and oral forms.
• Experience in more than two functions, such as modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting and analysis, reserving, or trending.

• Recent experience with Medicare Advantage bid filing.
