Senior Actuarial Analyst (Health Insurance)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; flex hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Other listed location: Richardson, Texas.

Base pay: $69,800–$125,900 annually. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Participate in implementing and maintaining actuarial models, studies, and systems.
• Perform basic analysis for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and related actuarial functions.
• Run, build, and analyze results from basic actuarial models.
• Prepare written documentation and participate in presentations and training activities.
• Develop practical business and actuarial knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or another applicable discipline.
• Completion of 3 ASA exam equivalents under the Society of Actuaries’ Education and Examination System.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in the Chicago office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming tools.
• Actuarial experience in health insurance or a related field.
