Senior Finance Manager

Location: hirify.global Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $9,599.75–$14,385.50 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Provide strategic financial advice to Innovation hirify.global, Research Support Services, unit directors, and senior management.
• Lead annual and multiyear budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, performance measurement, and financial analysis.
• Direct financial reporting, variance analysis, year-end processes, internal controls, risk management, and compliance.
• Oversee financial management for research agreements, Tri-Council funding, intellectual property programs, royalty and equity portfolios, and patent and legal expense recoveries.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, contracts, inventory, and capital asset management.
• Implement financial systems such as Adaptive Planning, improve reporting and resource management processes, and manage finance staff.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Completion of the CPA accounting program, including CA, CGA, or CMA.
• Minimum of eight years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Senior-level experience in budgeting, financial planning and analysis, preferably within a large, complex organization.
• Advanced financial analysis, risk management, reporting, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects, interpret financial information for diverse stakeholders, and lead finance teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-volume, multifunctional service organization.
• Familiarity with hirify.global financial systems and computerized financial applications.
• Experience leading change management and business process improvement initiatives.
