Manager, Accounts Receivable

Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Canada, with time in the Liberty Village office

Salary: CAD 90,000–106,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and market data.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor receivables ageing, reduce delinquency and credit risk, and support working capital and cash flow performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of six accounts receivable professionals.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Finance Systems, IT, customers, and other stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Implement process improvements, automation, system enhancements, and order-to-cash transformation initiatives.
• Oversee reporting, analytics, internal controls, policy development, and audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, collections, or accounting, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, accounting treatments, internal controls, and policy development.
• Experience leading teams and process improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.

Nice to have

• Experience in a SaaS or recurring-revenue business model.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and other order-to-cash or financial systems.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and subscription-based order-to-cash processes.
• Experience leading automation, system implementation, or process transformation initiatives.
