Location: Toronto, ON, Canada (hybrid - 3 days / week in-office)

Salary: CAD $200,000–$250,000 base

What you will do

• Own the global monthly close and consolidation cycle across HQ and operating companies under US GAAP.
• Manage the year-end external audit relationship and ensure a cleanly run process.
• Standardize chart of accounts, reporting packages, and close timelines across portfolio companies.
• Lead a team of approximately ten across Controllership, Global Payroll, and ERP & Reporting.
• Partner with the CFO to translate financial data into strategic narratives and operational outcomes.
• Integrate newly acquired companies into the reporting rhythm and introduce automation and AI enhancements.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive controllership experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Required: Experience owning consolidation across 100+ legal entities in multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Required: Professional foundation from a Big 4 or comparable reputable accounting firm.
• Required: Direct, hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Required: Deep fluency in US GAAP specifically applied to the software industry.
• Location: Must be based in Toronto, ON, Canada for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience in private equity-backed, holdco, or serial-acquirer environments.
• Track record of compressing close cycles or leading NetSuite migrations and expansions.
