NPI Build Manager

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; hybrid workplace

Base pay: $124,000–$169,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses and equity.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end NPI build execution at assigned contract manufacturing sites from prototype through market launch, including TQ builds and EFT units.
• Establish and manage CM build schedules across concurrent programs, balancing priorities, capacity, quantities, and delivery milestones.
• Drive build readiness across materials, staffing, tooling, equipment, manufacturing, testing, engineering, debugging, and rework resources.
• Coordinate Hardware Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Planning, Quality, POMs, NPI Engineering, and CM teams.
• Resolve schedule variance and critical-path roadblocks, enforce recovery plans, and maintain executive visibility into risks and build status.
• Improve build readiness, schedule predictability, CM execution, and mass-production PO readiness at Pre-Pilot.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, operations, program management, or contract manufacturing.
• Experience managing NPI builds and working directly with contract manufacturers.
• Strong understanding of NPI processes, build readiness, manufacturing operations, and schedule management.
• Ability to drive execution, manage competing priorities, deliver against aggressive time-to-market targets, and hold internal and external teams accountable.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
