Data Visualization Specialist

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Design and develop clear, intuitive, and interactive visualizations from complex congressional, legislative, ERP, transactional, and analytical datasets.
• Create charts, graphs, tables, dashboards, and other visual products for weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports.
• Develop visualizations across commercial off-the-shelf and custom-developed user interfaces.
• Gather requirements and iteratively build enterprise-level visualizations with DLA stakeholders using agile methods.
• Create medium-complexity queries and stored procedures to supply dynamic visualizations.
• Coordinate with data analysts and Legislative Affairs staff, and support executive briefings, congressional engagements, meetings, and events with rapid-turn reporting.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree.
• At least five years of directly related data-visualization experience.
• Experience with commercial off-the-shelf and custom-developed data-visualization interfaces.
• Experience with D3, HTML, JavaScript, or comparable technologies, as well as Qlik or SAP Lumira.
• Experience gathering business requirements, applying agile methods, and developing enterprise visualizations against ERP data models.
• Must satisfy applicable DLA personnel-security, suitability, system-access, and CAC requirements, and be eligible to work in the United States.
