Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster II

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve general liability claims involving bodily injury, property damage, premises liability, products liability, and related exposures.
• Analyze coverage, apply policy terms and exclusions, and set appropriate case reserves.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and insureds while gathering statements and supporting documentation.
• Manage litigated claims in partnership with legal counsel, defense attorneys, and outside experts.
• Negotiate settlements and manage claim files from first notice of loss through resolution, including subrogation and recovery opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, provide claim updates, and ensure regulatory and customer-service standards are met.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of general liability or commercial lines claims adjusting experience.
• Active adjuster licenses in multiple states, or the ability to obtain reciprocal or designated home state licenses quickly.
• Strong knowledge of liability law, tort principles, policy coverage interpretation, and state-specific regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing complex or litigated claims through resolution, with strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered. AIC, CPCU, or SCLA designations are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with construction, retail, hospitality, or products liability claims.
• Experience working with third-party administrators or self-insured programs.
• Bilingual communication skills.
