Engineer II - System Validation Design (SoC Validation)

Location: Roseville, California, United States; onsite role with normal business hours and 0–25% travel.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$143,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Design, build, and debug system-level hardware, firmware, drivers, and software for SoC validation.
• Develop automated tests using in-house tools, Java, BeanShell, and shell scripting.
• Plan, develop, execute, and document tests covering functionality, performance, error recovery, multi-OS support, interoperability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in embedded, multicore, and real-time systems.
• Use logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and diagnostic tools to isolate failures.
• Track defects, manage validation schedules, and present technical findings to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2.5–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Java and C, plus at least one scripting language such as Python, Linux shell, or BeanShell.
• Knowledge of server and storage architectures, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
• Ability to perform normal business-hour work involving extended sitting, standing, walking, and work around others.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux and Windows environments and file-system structures.
• Experience with RAID HBAs, SAS, NVMe controllers, and storage protocol validation.
• Experience with PCIe protocols, infrastructure, computer I/O hierarchies, and interconnects.
