Engineer II - System Validation Design

What you will do

• Design, build, and debug system-level hardware, firmware, drivers, and software for validating integrated circuits and SoC solutions.
• Develop automated tests using in-house tools, Java, BeanShell, and shell scripting.
• Develop, execute, and document tests covering functionality, performance, error injection and recovery, multi-OS support, interoperability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in embedded, multi-core, real-time systems using logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and diagnostic tools.
• Manage validation schedules, track defects, and document product quality and validation progress.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2.5–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of Java and C, plus Python, Linux shell, or BeanShell.
• Knowledge of server and storage solution components and architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux and Windows environments and file-system structures.
• Experience with RAID HBAs, SAS, NVMe controllers, and storage software validation.
• Experience validating SAS, SATA, NVMe, and PCIe protocols.
• Knowledge of computer system I/O hierarchies and interconnects.
