Finance Manager (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: On-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan, or Syracuse, New York; U.S. citizenship required. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $132,000–$171,600 annually

What you will do

• Advise Advanced Weapons leadership on financial performance, operational decisions, profitability, cash flow, working capital, and risk.
• Lead annual budgeting, five-year business planning, quarterly forecasting, performance metrics, and the financial operating rhythm.
• Partner with Program Managers on reporting dashboards, variance analysis, program risks, and financial trends.
• Support Estimates at Completion, Earned Value Management reporting, pricing exercises, proposals, and business cases.
• Help Manufacturing and Supply Chain forecast material costs and maintain strong financial controls and documentation.
• Support Accounting, Contracts, and Subcontracts with FAR, DFARS, CAS, audit, and government proposal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 16+ years of progressive experience, or a master’s degree with 14+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading a finance, accounting, business management, or multidisciplinary team, including hiring, development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, with strong financial analysis and interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders while collaborating across global teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.
• Selected applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant advanced degree or professional certification.
• Experience in aerospace and defense, U.S. Government contracting, program finance, or project-based economics.
• Knowledge of EVM, FAR, DFARS, CAS, DCAA or DCMA audits, government proposals, and forward pricing rates.
• Experience with ERP, enterprise planning, business intelligence, data governance, automation, or AI-enabled finance initiatives.
• Experience with IFRS, multinational reporting, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, acquisitions, or scalable finance capabilities.
