Finance Manager, DaaS (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid); New York City also listed as an available location.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own the DaaS revenue model covering bookings, acceptance-based revenue, ARR, scenarios, and forecast-versus-actual analysis.
• Partner with RevOps and leadership to run weekly revenue and ARR forecasts, quantify risks, and communicate recommendations.
• Maintain the delivery capacity model, connecting utilization, project mix, headcount, contractor mix, and cost to deliver.
• Translate bookings pipeline into staffing demand and lead recurring capacity planning reviews with Delivery leadership.
• Review deal economics and pricing templates, analyze customer and product profitability, and recommend margin improvements.
• Automate recurring financial models and support board and investor materials for the DaaS business.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, product or business finance, deal desk, or strategic finance, including at least 2 years at a high-growth technology company.
• Hands-on ownership of revenue forecasts and unit-economics or pricing models.
• Strong understanding of gross margin, contribution margin, cost-to-serve, pricing, discounting, and incentives.
• Experience with services or labor-based delivery economics, including utilization, project headcount, and contractor mix.
• Expert spreadsheet modeling in Google Sheets or Excel, plus working SQL and experience with CRM and data warehouse data.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field, with clear executive communication and a process-improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI/ML, data services, marketplaces, services, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ARR metrics and acceptance-based revenue recognition.
• Board or investor materials, fundraise data rooms, BI tools, or planning tools experience.
• Experience using AI tools, Python, or light scripting to automate analysis.
• Background in top consulting, banking, or finance-rotation programs.

Hiring process

• The first 30 days focus on learning the DaaS model and co-producing a weekly forecast deck.
• By 60 days, the role is expected to run the forecast process, review Deal Desk models, and lead a capacity review.
• By 90 days, the role should recommend a process improvement, reconcile capacity data, and deliver a profitability analysis.
