Manager, Manufacturing Finance (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role requiring candidates to be located near Denver, Colorado, or Long Beach, California, with some work performed onsite.

Base salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own financial planning, forecasting, and cost structures for manufacturing operations, including overhead rates, facilities, capital expenditures, procurement, and bills of materials.
• Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, operations, FP&A, and program finance leaders on cost, capacity, resource allocation, and production decisions.
• Establish manufacturing finance processes, tools, governance frameworks, procurement controls, capital spend controls, and production cost tracking.
• Develop overhead rate structures and provide accurate production cost inputs for pricing and proposals.
• Lead financial analysis for vertical integration, including build-versus-buy studies, ROI modeling, and investment justification.
• Build and lead a manufacturing finance team as production volumes and organizational complexity increase.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of finance experience with significant ownership of manufacturing, production, or operations finance.
• Experience building financial infrastructure, processes, tools, and cost frameworks for manufacturing or production operations.
• Strong understanding of overhead rates, bills of materials, production variances, capital expenditure planning, standard costing, inventory valuation, and ERP cost accounting.
• Experience partnering with supply chain and procurement on financial governance and purchasing controls.
• Strong FP&A skills, including bottoms-up forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis in an operations environment.
• Must be located near Denver, Colorado, or Long Beach, California, and able to work onsite as required. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

Nice to have

• Aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, high-growth, or early-stage company experience.
• Experience with government contract cost accounting, including FAR/CAS, and program-based reporting.
• Experience partnering with accounting on month-end close, COGS, and inventory reserves.
• Strong Excel modeling skills and experience with BI tools.
