Chief of Staff, Science

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Partner with the Chief Science Officer and Science Leadership Team to define annual and quarterly priorities and translate them into plans, milestones, ownership, and success measures.
• Manage Science Leadership Team operations, including agendas, decisions, action tracking, follow-through, resourcing proposals, and cross-functional risk escalation.
• Develop integrated views of services delivery, product science support, pipeline, roadmap, staffing, utilization, quality, and client outcomes.
• Coordinate with Finance, Commercial, Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders on forecasts, roadmap priorities, capacity planning, and performance risks.
• Lead selected organizational change initiatives, team meetings, study and publication tracking, and budget activities.
• Prepare executive presentations, business updates, decision documents, and scientific or strategic narratives for the Chief Science Officer.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives.
• Ability to work across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.
• Strong organizational, strategic thinking, synthesis, and executive communication skills.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• MPH, MBA, or an advanced degree related to epidemiology or biostatistics.
• Experience with life sciences services, healthcare data, real-world studies, or real-world data technology.
• Experience with organizational planning, resource allocation, capacity planning, or performance measurement.
• Experience leading through influence in a matrixed organization and improving scientific or technical team operations.
