Senior Frontend Engineer (React/AI)

Location: Hybrid work with occasional in-person attendance required. Primary residence must be in or near an approved city within the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Salary: $124,000–$214,000 annually in the United States outside California; $151,000–$226,000 annually in California; CAD 157,000–CAD 201,000 annually in Canada.

What you will do

• Build and own customer-facing frontend experiences for search, recommendations, and generative AI features.
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, delivery, operation, testing, and observability.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, machine learning engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Advise on technical design, review code, participate in interviews, and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend systems for high-traffic, high-visibility products.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or a similar modern web framework.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, web performance, bundling, and optimization.
• Experience with microfrontend architectures, monorepos, shared UI libraries, or frontend platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a remote, documentation-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing large, complex, or legacy frontend codebases.
• Experience with accessibility, SEO, testing, quality practices, and observability.
• Experience making production migrations safe and repeatable.
