DevOps Engineer II

Location: Fully remote; US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance are required.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, and deployment automation across teams.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure, including disaster recovery and capacity plans.
• Lead critical incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term production remediation.
• Define standards and documentation for infrastructure, security, deployment, DevSecOps, and observability practices.
• Evaluate and integrate tools and platforms while driving cloud cost optimization and delivery efficiency.
• Mentor DevOps Engineer I team members and collaborate with engineering, QA, security, and product leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or infrastructure automation, including infrastructure architecture.
• Experience designing CI/CD strategies across multiple teams or products using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
• Advanced proficiency with Linux/Unix, Bash, Python, or PowerShell, plus infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep.
• Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservice deployment strategies, networking, security, monitoring, and incident response.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent certification.
• Mentoring experience and experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef at scale.
• Database optimization, FinOps, Agile or Scrum leadership, and multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud experience.
• Advanced observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk.
