Cloud Engineer II (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Remote or office in Raleigh, United States; candidates must be US-based and work within the ET or CT time zones.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and maintain version-controlled, auditable cloud environments.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and cloud-hosted applications.
• Deploy and operate containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, or GKE.
• Implement networking, identity and access management, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Support cloud migrations, platform engineering, troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and FinOps cost governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–6+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform and production cloud deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated deployment pipelines, and release processes.
• Strong scripting or automation skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization, rightsizing, reserved instances, security, governance, tagging, and policy enforcement.
• US-based availability within the ET or CT time zones is required.

• Experience across multiple cloud platforms.
• Experience with landing zones, cloud security services, monitoring, and cost-management tools.
