Claims - Liability Rotational Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; hybrid work with two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Manage rotating portfolios of mid-level to complex commercial auto and general liability claims across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct investigations, determine coverage, evaluate liability and damages, manage litigation, and establish accurate reserves.
• Develop and negotiate resolution strategies, risk-transfer strategies, and cost-share agreements.
• Support multiple claims teams during temporary assignments and serve as a subject matter expert for less experienced staff.
• Present large losses in internal conferences, attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials, and support audits and portfolio closing initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of multijurisdictional legal developments and adjudicate claims according to company guidelines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of commercial claims experience, including high-complexity and high-severity general and auto liability claims.
• At least 5 years of experience handling litigated files and directing outside defense counsel.
• Extensive knowledge of tort, contract, and coverage laws across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong presentation, organization, strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing and travel overnight up to 20%.
