Director of Finance - Financial Planning & Analysis (Manufacturing)

Location: Charter Steel - Cleveland, OH, United States. Other location: Saukville, WI. Full-time onsite position.

What you will do

• Partner with Charter Steel leadership by providing financial insight for business strategy, operating decisions, and long-term growth.
• Lead annual business planning, short- and long-range forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Analyze and communicate financial performance, business drivers, risks, and opportunities, including executive and Board-level reporting.
• Partner with Commercial and Supply Chain leaders on customer profitability, S&OP support, and business performance.
• Oversee monthly reporting, forecasting models, analytical tools, financial close, balance sheet review, and financial controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives, continuous improvement, and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least eight years of accounting and/or finance experience, including three or more years partnering with commercial or operations leaders.
• Experience leading and developing a team and working cross-functionally.
• Experience with planning and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• MBA and/or CPA.
• Experience leading a commercial finance team.
• Experience with data management, reporting, business intelligence, analytics, data visualization, technology, or digital transformation.
• Knowledge of commercial and supply chain processes, including purchasing, logistics, supply planning, and demand planning.
• Experience with talent development, advanced analytics, cross-functional leadership, and change management.
