Multifamily Financial Analyst (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Full-time onsite position based in the Brentwood, West Los Angeles office, Los Angeles, California, United States

Salary: $73,913–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform financial underwriting and valuation of multifamily investment properties, including cash flow projections, investment returns, sensitivity analyses, and Excel-based financial models.
• Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, budgets, leases, comparable sales, and market conditions to develop underwriting assumptions and property valuations.
• Prepare analyses and materials for Broker Opinions of Value, Offering Memorandums, investment proposals, and client presentations.
• Research multifamily market trends, rental rates, operating expenses, capitalization rates, and investment activity.
• Collaborate with brokers and team members to support client investment decisions and transaction execution.
• Manage multiple assignments, maintain quality control, meet deadlines, and improve financial models and analytical processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of demonstrated experience underwriting commercial real estate properties; multifamily underwriting experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, cash flow projections, and investment return analyses.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation methods, financial statements, investment metrics, and property-level financial performance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ARGUS or other real estate financial modeling platforms.
• Multifamily underwriting experience.
