Financial Analyst-NYC

Location: Hybrid in New York City, New York, United States

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 annualized

What you will do

• Support reporting and modeling of financial and profitability data for Partners and Senior Management.
• Evaluate recurring data requests and build parameter-based reports for end-user execution.
• Prepare recurring, special, and ad hoc management reports, graphs, financial models, and data analyses.
• Extract, map, query, and summarize data from financial systems and multiple databases.
• Monitor key performance indicators, investigate variances, conduct root-cause analysis, and benchmark performance against competitors and industry standards.
• Work with IT, finance operations, vendors, and internal users to resolve application issues and maintain data integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment preferred.
• High proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Ability to analyze financial data, investigate variances, prepare organized supporting documentation, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• SQL experience and strong computer skills preferred; strict confidentiality is required.
