Jira Administrator (Atlassian)

Location: Hybrid in Fairfax, Virginia, United States, with up to 3 onsite days per week and additional onsite support as operationally required.

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, configure, implement, administer, and support Jira and Confluence environments.
• Build workflows, automation rules, integrations, dashboards, reports, analytics, and custom configurations.
• Gather requirements from customers, program leadership, and technical teams and translate them into sustainable Atlassian solutions.
• Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, security configurations, Confluence spaces, templates, and macros.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot approved Atlassian Marketplace applications and plugins, including ScriptRunner, Structure, Gantt charting, and dynamic forms.
• Provide user training, documentation, technical support, and configuration-change communication.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; active clearance preferred.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ certification or higher required.
• Must be able to work up to 3 days per week from the Fairfax, Virginia office.
• 5+ years of hands-on Jira and Confluence administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and implementing Jira and Confluence environments, troubleshooting configurations and integrations, and administering users, permissions, workflows, and security settings.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and Agile development.
• Experience supporting federal clients, particularly the Department of War.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure.
