Location: San Jose, California, United States. Onsite infrastructure support is required, including moving servers between data centers and labs, rack-and-stack installation, and after-hours or weekend support at various points during the year.

Salary: USD 80,000–85,000 per year

What you will do

• Configure and support Atlassian Jira and Confluence servers, including user management and user support.
• Install, rebuild, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers, hardware, peripherals, services, and storage.
• Administer VMware, KVM, network equipment, NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Foreman, GLPI, Git, Jenkins, LDAP, and related infrastructure tools.
• Maintain security patches, system standards, backups, monitoring, archival processes, and security compliance reporting.
• Provide Tier III support, investigate incidents, recover from hardware and software failures, and coordinate with affected users and vendors.
• Perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, resource optimization, system migrations, and data-center rack-and-stack work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Linux systems administration experience, including shell scripting, cron jobs, log analysis, user and group management, iptables, and mail services.
• Advanced VMware administration and management experience, plus Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, and DevOps tool administration.
• Experience with network equipment management; Cisco experience is preferred.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II-compliant certification, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Knowledge of reverse proxies, SSL certificates, three-tier architecture, service-oriented architecture, enterprise service buses, HTTP, and browser differences.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, move servers, install hardware, migrate systems, work independently, and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or RHCE certification.
• Experience with Cisco equipment and EDA tools, including FlexLM licenses.
