Engineering Leadership (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York or San Francisco, USA

Base salary: $250,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity for full-time roles

hirify.global is a Series A startup building an AI-native disputes automation and fraud prevention platform for financial institutions.

What you will do

• Lead an engineering team of 8–12 people responsible for critical platform products and systems.
• Build systems spanning fintech, AI, real-time decisioning, card network integrations, fraud and risk decisioning, financial data, and regulated workflows.
• Set technical direction and partner with senior engineers on architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, and long-term platform evolution.
• Work with Product and company leadership to prioritize technical investments and deliver measurable customer impact.
• Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineers while building future technical and people leaders.
• Shape engineering culture, organizational design, development practices, technical standards, and company-level decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing teams of 6+ engineers.
• Strong technical foundation in architecture, system design, scalability, and technical tradeoffs.
• Experience owning complex, business-critical products or platforms where reliability, scale, data integrity, security, or real-time decision-making mattered.
• Track record of influencing technical direction, partnering across functions, and shaping engineering strategy.
• Strong hiring and people-development experience, including rigorous interviewing and maintaining a high talent bar.
• Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and executive levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with fintech, payments, fraud or risk, AI/ML infrastructure, or other high-scale and highly reliable systems.
