HR Business Partner (Automotive Technology)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. This is a full-time position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $93,100–$114,050 per year, with potential bonus and/or equity eligibility depending on level and role.

What you will do

• Advise VP-level leaders by aligning business goals with people strategies, headcount planning, and total rewards decisions.
• Lead organizational design initiatives, span-of-control analyses, and workforce planning for teams of 300+ employees.
• Execute culture transformation, engagement, retention, and leadership development initiatives across remote and hybrid teams.
• Coach managers and executives on performance management, leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and complex team dynamics.
• Manage employee relations matters while maintaining fair, consistent, and compliant practices.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and People Operations on hiring, leveling, pay decisions, and HR processes.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering in marketplace, technology, or tech-adjacent industries.
• Experience supporting client groups of 300+ employees in distributed or remote environments.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and advise VP-level leaders.
• Hands-on expertise in organizational design, headcount planning, employee relations, performance management, and compensation strategy.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Experience with Workday.
• Experience with global mobility, immigration cases, and vendor or outsourcing management.
• Experience executing large-scale culture transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting technical, engineering, or product business units.
